Funding help for community groups and events

Broome community groups and events that would benefit from funding assistance are encouraged to apply for the latest round of community sponsorship grants.

Broome-based community groups can apply for up to $10,000 of matched funding under the Shire of Broome Community Sponsorships, and EDL West Kimberley Community Donations programs.

Applications open on Tuesday 15 January for the latest funding round and will be accepted until Friday 15 March 2019.

Broome Shire President, Harold Tracey, said Council appreciated the important contribution the town’s community organisations made to Broome.

“Broome’s many community groups and events play a vital role in the life of our town, and making funding available through these grants programs is one of the ways in which the Shire of Broome supports their work,” Cr Tracey said.

“We also thank energy supplier EDL for its commitment to Broome and its financial contribution through the West Kimberley Community Donations.” 

A portion of the available funding is made possible through a partnership between the Shire of Broome and EDL.
