The Ballarat Botanical Gardens will come alive again with jazz, rock and folk as the 2019 Summer Sundays concert series continues this Sunday.

More than 3400 people attended the City of Ballarat’s first Summer Sundays concert for 2019 last weekend, making it one of the biggest week one events in recent years.

Thousands are expected this Sunday as week two gets underway.

The volume is set to turn up a notch with four new performers taking to the stage from 3pm.

Alice Skye – Grampians Carolyn Logan of Alice Skye is available for interviews on 0400 441 025 Alice Skye is a singer-songwriter and Wergaia Australian. Originally from country Victoria, she grew up aside the sandstone mountains and wildflowers of the Grampians. Still inspired by her roots, Alice now calls Melbourne home and says: "I take great pride in my heritage and to combine both music and my background brings me an unexplainable amount of pride and happiness."

FLOC – Ballarat FLOC is a young person speaking on behalf of her generation with rap, soulful vocals and beats. Inspired by taboos, her lyrics always carry a message. Chill pop music shapes her sound, providing a performance for all ages to enjoy.

Gangz – Ballarat Gangz is a Ballarat-based four-piece band influenced by a variety of surf-rock, country and indie music. Having been together for four years the band has been able to flesh out a distinct sound exampled by their new single Whippy Shakes. With another single on the cusp of release, the band is excited to continue playing their multifaceted set to audiences from Ballarat and beyond.

Kee’ahn – Townsville Kee'ahn is one of the hottest new talents to hit the Melbourne music scene, hailing all the way from Townsville and originally making her mark as one of the best buskers in North Queensland.  A regular now across many of Melbourne’s iconic live music venues, when Kee'ahn isn't performing she puts her efforts into an equally impressive artistic field - musical theatre.

A selection of Ballarat’s favourite food vendors will also be onsite serving up the best in local produce.  

This Sunday the following food vendors will be set up around the gardens: The Gypsy’s Lunchbox; The Forge Pizzeria; Dos Diablos Mobile Cantina; Round the Way; Wholefoods Simply; Luigi’s Gelato; Boost Juice Ballarat Van; Bean Me Up Mobile Espresso.

The popular fully-licensed Garden Bar and bean bag lounge will also return this weekend.

The free all-ages Summer Sundays concert series is presented by the City of Ballarat, and is strongly aligned with the Creative City Strategy and City of Ballarat’s Live Music Strategy.

The final Summer Sundays event for 2019 will be next Sunday, 20 January.
