Gill and Church Streets Roundabout Works Commenced

A reminder to resident and visitors that Council and/or contractors commenced roundabout works at the intersection of Gill and Church Streets on Monday, 7 January 2019, and works will continue for a period of approximately five (5) weeks.

These works will be undertaken in the following stages:

Building of Roundabout – approximately two (2) weeks; Surfacing Works – approximately one (1) week; Island Construction – approximately two (2) weeks

Due to the size of the Gill/Church Street intersection, all aspects of the construction will at times involve traffic control with lane closures and detours.

Council has endeavoured to schedule works to limit the impact on the general public, including halting works during the Goldfield Ashes weekend, however Council acknowledges that the works may cause inconvenience and appreciates the public's cooperation.
