All ages and skills invited to join in free skateboarding sessions

Whether you can kickturn, grind or drop, skateboarding enthusiasts can learn new skills at the next round of free skateboarding clinics at the Roleystone and Armadale skate parks between January and March.

Skateboarding WA in partnership with the City of Armadale, invite skateboarders of all ages and levels to grab their skateboards and learn some new moves at five free skate clinics starting this week.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the free skateboaring clinic series will kick off on Thursday 10 January at the Roleystone Skate Park from 5 to 7pm.

“Whether you see yourself as a pro skater or haven’t picked up your skateboard for awhile, it’s a good opportunity to gain some helpful tips from the professionals and develop your skills.”

On Thursday 17 January, an intermediate and jam clinic will be held at the Roleystone Skate Park from 5 to 7pm.

“A skateboarding competition will be held the following weekend at Roleystone Skate Park on Saturday 19 January from 2.30 to 6.30pm.”

“The clinics are a good opportunity for skateboard enthusiasts to get out and enjoy a free day of active fun, meet other likeminded people and get involved in the community,” added Mayor Zelones.

All ages and skill levels are welcome to attend the sessions and helmets and skateboards are provided.

Participants under 18 require parent/guaridan signature on registration.
