Sod Turned for New Warragul Early Learning Centre

Warragul is a step closer to securing 132 new kindergarten places with construction starting today on a new Early Learning Centre.

Baw Baw Shire Mayor Cr Mikaela Power, Cr Michael Leaney, Cr Peter Kostos and Federal Member for McMillan Russell Broadbent turned the first sod at the site, co-located at Warragul Primary School.

The multipurpose centre will provide 132 new places for three and four-year old kindergarten programs. The facility will also include consulting spaces for maternal and child health services including allied health support services such as immunisations.

The facility will be built by local company Kubale Constructions with completion expected in the second half of 2019.

This project, scoped at $3.2 million, is being funded in partnership with State and Federal Governments and Baw Baw Shire Council.
