Road closures – Australia Day

Council advises that temporary full road closures will be in place on Saturday 26 January 2019 from 1pm to 10pm for the Campbelltown Australia Day event. Camden Rd, Hurley St and Kellicar Rd will be affected by the closures.

Notice of Public Hearing Reclassification of land at 21 Deans Road, Airds

Council will be conducting a public hearing on a planning proposal to reclassify land at 21 Deans Road, Airds.

The objective of the planning proposal is to amend the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 to enable the subject site to be reclassified from Community land to Operational land and permit subsequent transfer to the Tharawal Aboriginal Medical Centre. The planning proposal was previously exhibited for public comment in November 2018.

The public hearing will be conducted at the Campbelltown City Council Administration Centre, Queen Street Campbelltown on Wednesday 30 January 2019 at 4pm in Committee Room 3. Interested persons are invited to attend.

Development Proposal Appin Road, Gilead

Council has received a development application from Lendlease Communities (Mount Gilead) Pty Ltd for the Subdivision into 139 Residential and 3 Residue Allotments with associated civil and road works at Lot 1 DP 1240836, Lot 61 DP 752042 known as property No’s Lot 1 Appin Road and 913 Appin Road, Gilead, NSW.

Campbelltown City Council is the consent authority for this development application.

The proposal is identified as Nominated Integrated Development as it requires a controlled activity approval from the Office of Water under the Water Management Act 2000 and Bushfire Safety Authority from the Rural Fire Service under the Rural Fires Act 1997.

The application and accompanying Statement of Environmental Effects are on exhibition and available for review at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours; and at HJ Daley Library, Hurley St, Campbelltown.
