Ferry out of service Tuesday Monday 14 January

The Raymond Island Ferry will be out of service on Tuesday, January 15. Urgent repairs are required on the ferry and they will commence following the last service tonight (January 14).

It is anticipated that ferry services will resume normal operation from the first scheduled service on Wednesday, January 16.

A passenger water taxi and Raymond Island community bus will be operational on Tuesday during the unplanned outage and the barge will be available for emergencies only.

The brake pads in one of the ferry’s motors has failed on the Paynesville side and this is creating issues, particularly while docking at Paynesville.

The recently installed electronic signage in Paynesville and on Raymond Island has been updated to reflect the outage.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused to local residents and visitors.
