The weather may be cooling down over the weekend, but things are certainly heating up at Mars Stadium.
Mars Stadium is the place you’re going to want to be on Saturday evening. Why? Because AFLW is back in Ballarat.
Bring your family and friends over to Mars Stadium this weekend to see the Western Bulldogs take on Collingwood in a practice match ahead of the 2019 season.
But wait, it gets better. It’s absolutely free to watch.
We are passionate about women’s sport in Ballarat, and what a wonderful opportunity this is to see such talented footballers in action at one of our city’s greatest sporting assets.
AFLW continues to be high on our agenda for Mars Stadium, we want our young locals to have access to professional sport to encourage participation at a grassroots level.
We’re proud to see AFLW return to Mars Stadium in 2019 – this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate women in sport and inspire the next generation of young female talent.
Gates open at 4pm, so get on down to Mars Stadium in time for the first bounce at 5pm.
Parking will be available along Creswick Road, and there will be plenty of activities and food trucks for the whole family to enjoy.
I hope to see you there.
While we’re on the topic of AFL, don’t forget the Western Bulldogs will be back in Ballarat to take on St Kilda during the JLT Community Series in March before returning twice later in the year during the Premiership Season.
Our city is continuing to grow as a creative and sporting hub, and it‘s our offering of high quality events which inject life into our streets and laneways – encouraging visitation, bolstering a vibrant creative sector and leveraging the city’s position in the state’s events scene.
