Winners of the Borough of Queenscliffe Australia Day Awards for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Environment Project of the Year, Community Event of the Year and Community Organisation of the Year will be announced at Council’s Australia Day Celebration on 26 January 2019.

Council’s Australia Day Celebration will be held in the Queenscliff Town Hall at 50 Learmonth Street from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday 26 January. The event also includes:

An Australian citizenship ceremony An official flag-raising ceremony An address by Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor, Cr Bob Merriman AM A presentation by Borough of Queenscliffe Australia Day Ambassadors, Lisa Edwards and Michael Cristiano

Everyone is welcome at the popular, family-friendly annual event. The Queenscliffe Community Nursery gives away a free native tree to each family at the celebration, a sausage sizzle is provided by the local Lions Club, and there are lots of fun children’s activities on offer.
