Do you run a local business and want to become a social media whiz?
Council is offering a range of training and development opportunities as part of its 2019 Business Program, including workshops, mentoring, information sessions, events, and more.
This year’s program also incorporates a new initiative that aims to enhance social media skills for small business owners/operators.
Participants in this initiative will have access to workshops, tailored mentoring, webinars and an online learning portal throughout the year that explore social media marketing, digital marketing, Facebook advertising and Instagram.
The cost is $55, and the initiative is run by the Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) and facilitated by the Melbourne Innovation Centre.
Mayor, Cr Janet Pearce said this year’s program combined a range of options that aim to help support and grow local business.
"Whether you’re a small business owner with big ambitions, a sole trader looking to expand or running your business from home, Council is committed to working with you to create a thriving business community here in the Macedon Ranges.
“Our program has an inspiring line-up of facilitators who are passionate about sharing their expertise, and we’ve got a range of online workshops which will give business owners more flexibility.
“Whether you run an existing business or are thinking about starting a new one, we encourage you to talk to us about the support and resources we can offer,” Cr Pearce said.
Many of the events on offer are being held in partnership with the Australian Small Business Advisory Service, Melbourne Innovation Centre, Australian Taxation Office, Macedon Ranges Women in Business, Small Business Victoria and the Kyneton Community and Learning Centre.
