Learn and care for our environment

Fairfield City residents of all ages are in for a treat in 2019 with a wide range of free and interesting environmental workshops and events kicking off in February.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone encouraged residents to take advantage of Council’s free environmental workshops and tours.    “The workshops will give you tips for your garden and home, while the tours will showcase the diversity and interesting facts about our local environment,” Mayor Carbone said.    “For those who like to get their hands dirty and directly help our environment, then I recommend you get involved with the dedicated volunteers of the Flora Park or Sartor Bushcare groups.    “There is no better feeling than meeting like-minded people and making a positive contribution to our community by preserving our wonderful natural bushland areas.”

Workshops and tours  Workshops and tours require registration. For more information or to book a place visit www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/events and go to the day of the workshop.
