CPAC adds to CBD parking

An additional 132 car parking spaces will be available in the CBD from Monday 7 January, when the Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) carpark is opened for public use.

Use of the carpark will be regulated from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, when parking will be $1.60 an hour capped at $3 a day.

Parking will be free at other times, as well as from one hour prior to any show at CPAC for venue patrons.

On occasions when a daytime show is taking place at CPAC, the carpark will remain closed until one hour prior to the show time, when parking will be made available to venue patrons.

A boom gate operates at the entrance and exit points and a ticket must be obtained upon entry, even when parking outside of regulated hours. Pay stations are located inside the carpark and accept cash and major credit cards (MasterCard and Visa).
