Australia Day in Bayside

We are celebrating Australia Day 2019 with a Citizenship Ceremony and Flag Raising ceremony commencing at 9.30am at the historic Brighton Town Hall on Saturday 26th January. All members of the community are invited to join Mayor Michael Heffernan and Councillors to welcome 70 new Australian citizens from 25 countries.

The winners of the Bayside Australia Day Awards 2019 will be announced at an evening ceremony at Sandringham Yacht Club.

Our magnificent beaches and foreshore including the world famous bathing boxes at Dendy Street beach will also be the location of many informal Australia Day celebrations.
