Balwyn Community Centre upgrade

We’re upgrading the Balwyn Community Centre and turning it into a convenient one-stop hub to meet the needs of our growing population.

Balwyn Community Centre’s services will continue to operate at its temporary location at 230 Balwyn Road, Balwyn North during construction. The centre’s programs and services will continue at this location throughout construction, with ample car parking available onsite.

The upgraded centre will contain more functional spaces, which will better support community programs, groups and services. It will include occasional child care, a new recreation zone with a tennis court, and a relocated and expanded Balwyn Maternal and Child Health Centre.

The centre is in a beautiful parkland setting and the heritage character of the existing building will be retained.

Construction works commenced in January, and the upgraded centre is expected to open in 2020.
