On 15 January 2019, Council held a public hearing in relation to draft amendments to its Plan of Management for General Community Use Land to:
Add land to the plan of management (i.e. 91 Main Street, Blacktown) Clarify that general community use land may, where appropriate, be used for car parking to cater for Council reserves and other facilities.The draft amendments were publicly exhibited from 14 November to 11 December 2019 with written submissions accepted until 27 December 2018.
Notice of the public hearing was given on Council’s website (Have Your Say page). The public hearing was chaired by an independent person as required under the Local Government Act 1993.
Outcome of the public hearing and public exhibitionThe independent chairperson has provided Council with a report following the public hearing. In accordance with section 47G of the Local Government Act, this report is available for public viewing below, and at Council’s Civic Centre.
No submissions were received in relation to the draft amendments and no one attended the public hearing.
The outcome of the public consultation will be reported to Council in February 2019.
