Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre is introducing a group fitness class – Mumma Moves - for new mums, commencing February 4.
The 45-minute exercise session for women (and their baby/ies up to crawlers) is aimed to help women safely return to exercise post birth while their little ones are in arm’s reach.
Instructed by a midwife, the sessions will focus on a full body workout that promotes abdominal healing and is pelvic floor friendly. A combination of light weight, band and body weight exercises will be prescribed to enable dynamic, fun sessions.
Come along meet other mums, safely get back into exercise but most of all have fun while looking after yourself. Pram, baby wearing, baby feeding and changing friendly.
Along with the new group fitness program, the BARC and Lakes Aquadome have installed several new pieces of cardio equipment including bikes, recumbent bikes, cross trainers, steppers and adaptive motion trainers.
Members can also enjoy the benefits of Precor’s Preva networked fitness program.
Preva is a digital technology that gives the users the ability to track their workout data from any Preva-activated console in the world. It provides users with the tools required to help reach and achieve their health and fitness goals.
And no longer is missing your favourite television series a reason to skip the gym as the networked fitness program also brings a range of entertainment options including Netflix and Spotify.
