Have your say Public Exhibition – Draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) – Claymore Renewal Project

The Claymore Renewal Project (the Project) involves the redevelopment of the existing Claymore public housing estate which comprises approximately 1,151 dwellings, 98% of which are in public ownership. The Project seeks to improve the quality of the social and urban environment by creating conditions conducive to the establishment of a sustainable place to live.

The Project comprises a new urban structure within the renewal area reflecting a new street pattern and subdivision layout based around a series of existing and new infrastructure and dwellings. Stages 1 and 2 of the project are complete, with commencement of Stage 3 works to occur in early 2019.

The Concept Plan for the Project was approved under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act (EP&A Act) on 24 May 2013 and will provide in the order of 1,490 dwellings upon completion.

The NSW Land and Housing Corporation as landowner has made an offer under S7.4 of the EP&A Act to enter into a VPA with Council for the delivery of infrastructure, facilities and services associated with the Project.

The works to be carried out are detailed within the Infrastructure Services Delivery Plan. The total contribution value to be delivered, excluding land, is $21,330,290.
