People are being asked to comment on a vision for the future use Stockwell Recreation Park as part of The Big Project.
Council has released a draft masterplan for the precinct which seeks to enhance spaces and facilities for community and recreation use.
Council is asking for community feedback on the concepts, which include:
Upgraded changerooms including female facilities Second oval for additional sports and sporting overflow Enhanced spectator viewing Outdoor fitness stations and bmx trackCommunity consultation will run from 30 January until 1 March 2019 and people can make comment in a variety of ways, including at Angaston Show on the weekend of 23-24 February or at a community drop-in session at Stockwell Hall on 5 February from 5-7pm.
Manager Community Projects Rebecca Tappert said Stockwell plays an important role as the region’s northern home for cricket and regional-level artificial turf hockey pitch.
“But the park is so much more, offering community spaces for organised and informal gatherings and outdoor spaces for family and community use,” she said.
“That’s why we’re seeking community input, to ensure future facilities at the park continue to meet the needs of this growing community.”
