PUBLIC NOTICE - Draft Charters Towers Regional Planning Scheme Public Notification

Charters Towers Regional Council invites submissions on the draft Charters Towers Regional Planning Scheme. The draft Regional Planning Scheme seeks to replace the former Aligned Charters Towers Planning Scheme 2011 and the Aligned Planning Scheme for Dalrymple Shire 2006 and once commenced, will have affect across the entire local government area.

The draft Regional Planning Scheme has been prepared in accordance with the Planning Act 2016, the State Planning Policy—July 2017 and the Ministers Guidelines and Rules 2017.

Submissions must be in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act 2016 and;

Be in writing or by email State the name and residential or business address of each submitter State the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds Be signed by each person making the submission (however signatures are not required for online and email submissions) Must supply one postal or electronic address for further correspondence regarding the submission Either posted, emailed or lodged at one of Council’s administration centres located at 12 and 70 Mosman Street, Charters Towers, and Within the notification period of 4 February and 29 March 2019.

Submissions must be made between 4 February and 29 March 2019 and lodged with Council through any of the following methods;
