The 2019 Citizen of the Year is businessman and long-serving Rotarian Peter Drummond.
Peter has dedicated countless hours to community events and organisations such as the Relay for Life, the Red Shield Appeal and the Lake Hume Cycle Challenge.
The 2019 Young Citizen of the Year is youth leader Libbity Alexander, who has led a range of activities to improve youth services through her work with the Retro Lane Café.
Libbity has also used her own experiences to champion mental health services, creating a support network for the city’s young people.
The Rotary Club of Albury has been named as this year’s recipient of the Community Group of the Year Award.
The club has been recognised for its support of hundreds of events and community groups, including scouts and guides, the Salvation Army, Carevan, Betty’s Place and many more.
And the 2019 Volunteer of the Year is Rosemary Creed.
Rosemary has provided enormous help to her community through her volunteering roles with many groups and services, including Lifeline, palliative care, Gateway Health and Look Good Feel Better.
The awards were presented by AlburyCity Mayor Kevin Mack during Australia Day celebrations at Noreuil Park.
