All of the Huon Valley Council Waste Transfer Stations are temporarily closed due to smoke and fire hazards until further notice. Please also note that kerbside collections programed for Thursday are also unable to proceed at this stage. Further advice on re-opening dates will be provided as soon as possible.

Residents are advised that Kingborough Council operates a Waste Management Facility at Barretta, which is likely to be the closest facility to Huon Valley residents. Kingborough Council have advised they are willing to accept general waste, green waste and recycling from Huon Valley residents during the temporary shut-down. It is noted the Barretta facility has similar fees to the Huon Valley Transfer Stations. Information on the location, their services and fees are available here:
