Council Policy 131 – Social Media
Campaspe Shire Councillors have adopted the revised Council Policy 131 – Social Media.
First adopted in 2011, the policy provides an understanding and guidance for the appropriate use of social media platforms and tools by councillors, staff (permanent, temporary or casual), contractors, agents and volunteers for the purpose of conducting council business.
The policy also ensures council is appropriately represented through the use of social media.
Council Plan Review
Council has completed the annual review of its Council Plan 2017–21 (incorporating the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan) and confirmed the Plan remains appropriate for the remainder of the term.
The Council Plan 2017-21 is the key strategic document for the term of council. It sets council’s vision, strategic objectives, and actions and measures for achieving the objectives.
The purpose of the review is to ensure that the strategic direction, priorities and intent of the Plan remains appropriate for the remainder of the term of council. No changes were made to the Council Plan.

Campervan & Motorhome Club of Australia - National Rally Funding
Council has approved sponsorship of the Campervan & Motorhome Club of Australia National Rally to be held at the Elmore Events Centre, 20 - 27 October 2019.
Funding support of $4000 has been allocated from the 2018 -19 Event Support budget and will assist with the provision of two courtesy buses and signage for the event.
The event is projected to attract 1,500 attendees over a seven night period, and is expected to inject an estimated $2 million into the local economy.
Responsive Grants
Council has approved a responsive grant of $500 to Wharparilla Recreation Reserve. Funds assisted with costs associated with the Wharparilla Drive-In event held on 25 January at the Wharparilla Recreation Reserve.
