Central Highlands Regional Council is conducting its bi-annual community satisfaction survey over February and March this year.
Mayor Kerry Hayes is encouraging strong participation so that council can learn where it needs to put its focus in the next two years.
‘This survey, conducted by an independent market research organisation, is the best barometer we have of the community’s views about our performance to help us plan for the future,’ he said.
‘The survey is conducted by telephone over February and March. If you are called upon to participate, please take the 25 minutes to discuss your level of satisfaction with council services.
‘The survey is comprehensive and looks at council’s overall performance, including community satisfaction, rates and provision of services, satisfaction with specific facilities and services, environmental issues, perceptions of local government, contact and communication with council and more.
‘We use these results to gauge whether we are hitting the target—that is providing the services and facilities that the community really see as important,’ the mayor explained.
