Ararat Rural City Council residents will start receiving phone calls from tomorrow for the annual community satisfaction survey.
The survey will involve 400 interviews conducted among a representative sample of residents, with the independent market research agency National Field Services conducting the phone calls over February.
Ararat Rural City Council CEO Dr Tim Harrison said the calls would be made over a period of around three weeks, and would consist of a series of questions around the performance of Council.
Dr Harrison said the survey is a State Government initiative conducted annually with all Victorian councils being assessed.
“Ararat Rural City Council uses the data from survey to check its performance in a number of areas,” he said.
“The survey is designed to assess the performance of Council across a range of measures to identify ways to improve or provide more effective service delivery to residents.
“We take the survey results very seriously and we value the feedback we receive. We’d really appreciate the selected residents taking part and providing us their honest comments about their experience with us.”
Dr Harrison said National Field Services assured all residents their details and individual responses are kept strictly confidential with only the overall results shared with the Council.
