On the Friday, come down and see the musicians, people in period costume, performing in the shopping strip. Enjoy a coffee, or a delightful lunch from one of the many restaurants and café’s within the strip. Or alternatively, enjoy a leisurely lunch at the historic Keilor Hotel, the oldest family run hotel in Melbourne. To top of the afternoon, have a game of barefoot bowls at the Keilor Bowls Club. If you are still hungry, come in and enjoy a very reasonably priced dinner.
On the Saturday, the fun continues in the village. More entertainment , plus a petting farm for the children to enjoy. Spoil yourself with more great coffee and delightful pastries. In the afternoon, join us in the festivities to celebrate over 86 years of the running of the prestigious Keilor Gift.
Joining the runners will be a bevy of wood choppers. Watch athletes of various ages ply their talents.
To keep the children amused, various rides and activities will be available.
Food and beverages will be available throughout the day and evening.
The climax of the night will be the running of the two gifts, male and female.
The fireworks will follow the gifts. A very spectacular and fitting finish to the event.
