- City of Ballarat Mayor Cr Samantha McIntosh

The City of Ballarat is proud to be a major partner in the Australian Waste to Energy forum.

Ballarat is the capital of Western Victoria, which is the centre of more than 60 per cent of the state’s renewable energy sources.

As a council, we have always been a supporter of new and innovative power supply and security solutions.

This includes the waste to energy facility proposed for the Ballarat West Employment Zone which will divert more than 60 per cent of waste from landfill and provide energy security for industry.

We are looking forward to the discussions around waste to energy that will emanate from the forum, and in helping to develop a new energy future as a result of these discussions.
