ROADS UPDATE: On the Mulligan Highway the Little Annan is 2.5m below the bridge and the McLeod is closed with about 0.5m of water over the crossing. On the Peninsula Development Road the Laura River north is 3.25m over and steady, the Archer River is 2.27m over and rising and Myall Creek is 0.4m over and falling. Remember to check road conditions and river heights before you travel (www.cook.qld.gov.au/services/disaster), and if it's flooded, forget it.
