Charters Towers Local Disaster Management Group advises that due to the moderate flooding of the Burdekin River, the Department of Main Roads and Transport (QLD) have closed the Macrossan Bridge for all traffic (between Charters Towers and Townsville).

Council appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation during this time.
