Libraries celebrating Chinese New Year 2019- the Year of the Pig!

To celebrate Chinese New Year Mareeba and Kuranda Libraries have introduced programs to teach adults how to play Mahjong and Rummikub.

Mahjong is a tile-based game that was developed in China during the Qing dynasty and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century and Rummikub, also a tile based game, combines elements of rummy and mah-jong.

Contact Mareeba Library (4086 4622) to learn and play Mahjong or Kuranda Library (4093 9185) to learn and play Rummikub and other games.
