1. How many tenants are currently operating at BWEZ?

The following land purchasers are operating at BWEZ: CHS Broadbent, Westlab, KANE Transport, and Agrimac.

2. How many parcels of land are under construction or have been purchased/leased by a proprietor?  

Agrimac’s facility is close to completion and Broadbent has further staged construction underway on site. Milestone Benchtops, Athlegen, Pipecon and BROO  all have contracts settled but have not begun construction.

Contracts have been executed but not settled for Stage 1 and Stage 1b with Luv-a-duck, Cervus, and Findlay Engineering.

3. Has CoB had to open up parcels of land earlier than anticipated? 

The take up of land sales is exceeding expectations.

4. What is CoB's view on the rate of uptake at BWEZ? IS the city happen with the rate of uptake?

The City of Ballarat is extremely pleased with the progress of the Ballarat West Employment Zone.

Development in BWEZ has been very positive and we have had some really interesting inquiries by potential tenants.

5. Is it ahead or behind in projections for the space? 

The take up of land sales is exceeding expectations.

6.What is the current position of BROO's plans for the site? Are they still involved with the BWEZ area?

BROO has purchased 15 hectares at BWEZ. Questions regarding their development intentions should be directed to the company.

7. What is expected to happen at the site next? 

The building subdivision of Stage 1b will be completed by the end of April 2019 and after which purchasers will be able to develop their sites.

8. Is Ballarat taking any action to combat hoon driving/burnouts in the industrial BWEZ area?

While this is a police matter, the City of Ballarat is conducting regular surveillance in the area.
