Glenorchy City Council have advised that a road closure will occur to undertake road remediation works at Molesworth Road, Glenlusk.
Batchelor Construction Group Pty Ltd is required to close Molesworth Road between Molesworth and Glenlusk to undertake road remediation works. Works are scheduled to start on Tuesday 12th February 2019 for a period of 6 weeks subject to prevailing weather and unforeseen conditions.
Molesworth Road will be closed to all traffic during the project, so access to Molesworth, Malbina and New Norfolk will be unavailable. Motorists are asked to use the Brooker and Lyell Highway as a detour for the duration of the project.
Residents above 1024 Molesworth Road will still have access to their properties from Glenlusk, residents from 815 Molesworth Road and below will have to access their properties to Molesworth off Lyell Highway.
Glenorchy Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause for this period and requests all Residents/ Motorists/ Cyclists, Pedestrians to obey all regulatory, advisory, warning and temporary roadwork signs during the above period.
