With school set to return this week, Council wishes to remind all motorists to obey parking and road rules to avoid being issued with a fine.
Drivers who stop in a school zone, no stopping zone, bus zone, on a footpath, across or on a driveway, or double park can receive a $337 fine.
Drivers who stop in an intersection or junction, or on or near a pedestrian Crossing, could face a $448 fine.
In addition, drivers in breach of any parking offence within a school zone will lose 2 demerit points.
Council's Chief Operations Officer, Anthony Misagh, encouraged all motorists to park responsibly around schools.
"The first day back at school is always a busy time, so it's important that all motorists and both cautious and considerate in school areas," he said.
"Our Rangers will be patrolling school zones, but ideally there'll be no incidents and no fines, and everyone will pick-up and drop-off their kids safely and responsibly."
