To recognise the efforts provided by countless community members, organisations and emergency services during the 2018 CQ Bushfires, and to continue to aid those impacted, Gladstone Regional Council is pleased to announce Band Together – Bushfire Benefit Concert.
Rocking the Wartburg Sport and Recreation Grounds on Saturday February 23, Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett encouraged all members of the community to band together and enjoy a night of great family entertainment.
“It’s an event where we can recognise and thank those who went above and beyond to help our community during the devastating bushfires,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Well-known musician Adam Harvey will be headlining the concert, with local bands Kissing the Flint and Beautifully Broken 1770 also playing.”
Councillor Burnett said free return shuttle buses will be running from Mount Larcom and Gladstone to the concert.
“This event will be free for the community; however, we ask for donations where possible,” Cr Burnett said.
“All funds raised throughout the night will go to the affected communities throughout the Gladstone Region.
“Keep an eye on the Gladstone Regional Council Facebook page for more information.”
