The shire’s residents can rev-up their inner grease monkey at Eurobodalla libraries’ hands-on car-maintenance workshops this month.
Participants can learn basic skills – checking oil and water levels, replacing windscreen wipers, and changing a tyre and checking its pressure – to keep cars running smoothly.
The workshops kick off at the Batemans Bay Library on Saturday 9 February. Moruya and Narooma residents won’t miss out, with workshops on Saturdays 16 and 23 February respectively.
The free events are led by Jade Cowan from AMH Automotive, and run from 10am to 11.30am at the libraries. Bookings are essential.
Car maintenance is just one of many workshops in the libraries’ diverse line-up of community-learning events.
There’s opportunities to hunt-down notorious forebears at Ancestry.com workshops in March, and the beginning of April sees an Easter-hat-making session – don’t let your child be caught out in a cobbled together hat.
There’s the Last Friday Book Club, plenty of computer training to get you up to speed online, author talks, and so much more.
