On the fourth Friday of each month, the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre screens some of the best classic cinema, independent, Australian and world films. Movies are screened at the library in conjunction with Kanopy on-demand screening service.
The next Matinee Movie Series events are scheduled for Friday 22 February and Friday 22 March 2019. Matinee Movies Series events are for people aged 18 and over and are free with coffee, tea and light refreshments provided.
City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged cinema lovers to attend the Matinee Movie Series events at the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre.
"The Matinee Movie Series are popular events with residents who are fans of films that come from a variety of genres around the world," Mayor Sammels said.
"Each screening features something different, so whatever your tastes may be there is always something for everyone. Places are limited, so anybody who is interested in attending should make a booking as soon as possible."
The Matinee Movie Series is just one of many fantastic programs offered across the City’s four libraries. In addition to the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre, residents can access programs and services at Rockingham Central Library, Safety Bay Library and Warnbro Community Library.
