As at 7:30pm Wednesday 6 February, Plantation Creek is approximately 0.2 metres below the Bruce Highway.

It is anticipated that floodwaters will potentially reach the Bruce Highway within two hours. Residents should make all attempts to safely travel to their intended destination within this time.

Burdekin Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG), Department of Transport and Main Roads and Queensland Police Service will continue to monitor the creek level closely.

Residents should refer to Qld Traffic https://qldtraffic.qld.gov.au/ for information on Bruce Highway closures.
