‘Wheelie’ good news regarding recycling services continues

Burdekin Shire Council wishes to advise its recycling waste contractor will re-service all properties that were scheduled to be serviced on Tuesday 5 February.

Council previously advised on Monday 4 February that recycling collection was on hold due to the closure of the Bruce Highway, however Council’s recycling waste collector was in fact able to conduct normal services on Tuesday.

Burdekin Shire Council Mayor and Burdekin Local Disaster Management Group Chair Lyn McLaughlin said, “As some residents refrained from putting out their yellow lid bins on the basis of our previous advice, we are now providing an additional opportunity for their recycling waste to be collected.”
