Alva Beach residents are being encouraged to leave their yellow lid bins out for collection on Friday 8 February as Council’s recycling waste contractor begins to service formerly isolated areas.
Council’s recycling waste contractor will also service the Horseshoe Lagoon area, Woodstock and Shirbourne areas and Giru township on Friday 8 February. Residents in these areas can put out the red, yellow and green bins. Due to current circumstances, all three bins will be collected by one refuse truck. Collection is subject to accessibility and weather conditions.
Residents in Home Hill rural areas may experience disruption to their usual waste collection on Friday as a result of the current Bruce Highway closure between Plantation Creek and the Burdekin River.
