Library Lovers’ Day, 14 February 2019, is an opportunity for libraries and library users to celebrate all the ways that love can be found in the library. Organised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), this annual event involves hundreds of libraries and thousands of library users.
This year, ALIA is running a 200-word flash fiction story competition. The story can be about anything it just has to use the writing prompt ‘there was love to be found in the library’.
Submissions should be sent through in a word or basic text document in a standard font and size and are open to everyone. Submissions are due by 5:00pm AEDT on 21 February 2019.
