The upgraded Cooma North playground is a step closer to completion with construction commencing on Monday February 11.

Following feedback from the community, a number of additional features will be added to the playground. These additions have been made possible through the Stronger Country Communities Fund.

•Addition of an accessible concrete path, linking the existing path to playground table setting. •Relocation of bin enclosure to outside the playground footprint. •Addition of an alternate stair access to the tube slide for smaller children. •Addition of rubber soft fall surfacing at both ends of the crawl tunnel. •Addition of a feature equipment piece called the ‘Rotanet’ spinner with rubber soft fall around the perimeter.

The Cooma North playground is one of ten playgrounds to be upgraded and constructed in the Snowy Monaro. This investment into recreational facilities has been made possible through the Stronger Communities Fund Major Projects Program.
