Wollongong’s successful Economic Gardening program will kick off again this March, offering businesses a package of tools and assistance to help them grow.
The program, offered in conjunction with Shellharbour City Council and Kiama Municipal Council, targets high performing companies includes a boot camp, workshops on a range of topics and coaching.
The program is provided free of charge and has assisted more than 500 businesses since 2006, helping grow both their turnover and number of employees.
Mark Grimson, Council’s Economic Development Manager, said the aim of the workshop is to help established companies with sound business models develop strategic plans and manage their finances for growth.
“The Economic Gardening program has proven successful in guiding businesses to develop strategies so they can target markets for growth to scale up their business,” Mr Grimson said. “The Economic Gardening program has helped Illawarra businesses increase turnover by more than $40 million and created over 210 full time jobs.”
Applications close on Friday 1 March 2019.
