Four inspiring thought leaders will headline Campbelltown’s first Women in the Workplace Symposium networking event, aimed at women entering or re-entering the workforce.
The free evening will cover topics including: personal branding, image and styling, job searching, interview skills, mental health and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Fashion stylist Antoinette Stonham, HR specialist Melissa Owen, financial advisor Clare McCabe and mental health and lifestyle counsellor Cheryl Paradella will each give their insights during the event at the Campbelltown Arts Centre.
“It’s common knowledge getting back into the workforce when you have had a few years away, whether starting a family or for some other reason, can be a daunting, sometimes overwhelming process,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“This symposium is aimed at reassuring and motivating women with some helpful, practical advice. Getting the balance right between work and having a healthy lifestyle and mental outlook is equally important,” said Cr Brticevic.
“With the wealth of local talented and successful women in the workplace, Council felt it was time to tap into that knowledge and also provide a friendly, informal environment for those in the area to network about business and best practice.”
The four 20-minute talks will be followed by a Q&A session and an informal meet and greet networking session.
The free event is from 5pm-7.30pm, Wednesday 20 March, at Campbelltown Arts Centre.
