Narooma’s Bluewater Drive will be closed to through traffic near the Narooma Wharf for seven weeks from Monday 25 February while Eurobodalla Council undertakes road rehabilitation works.

Council will upgrade drainage and strengthen and reseal Bluewater Drive, from the pool car park to the eastern end of the wharf. A specialised geo-textile will be used to improve the strength of the road in this marine environment.

It is essential the work take place before the cooler months when higher tidal ranges will hinder work activities and the risk of wet weather delays.

Council plans to complete the work in stages to allow commercial vehicle access to the wharf from one end at a time so vessel operators can load and unload as required. Bluewater Drive will be closed to all other traffic.

Narooma Wharf will remain open however adjacent parking will be restricted so wharf visitors should make alternative parking arrangements.

The shared pathway will remain open and pedestrians and cyclists will not be affected. The pool car park will be accessible at all times.

Work is expected to be complete by Friday 12 April in time for the school holidays.

The project is part of Council’s ongoing road rehabilitation program to improve and maintain the road network for current and future generations.
