It was a wonderful weekend in Cooma for the 2019 instalment of the Monaro Billy Kart Derby. The annual derby has quickly become one of the most exciting events in our region.
Held at the Cooma Showground on Sunday, the derby saw competitors of all ages race billy karts they had designed and built themselves. From bathtubs to speed boats, the creative designs were something to behold.
Congratulations to the following winners: 5-8 years, Kai Frezza; 9-14 years, Safia Nassar; 18-over, Tom Brown; Novelty, David Thompson; Business, Cody Clarke, Emergency Services, Ben Morley; and Overall Fastest, Reece Allport.
