What do you think of permanent tree top walks and water play in the Emerald Botanic Gardens?
Concept plans for upgrades to the play area on the eastern side of the Nogoa River in the Emerald Botanic Gardens include just that, and Central Highlands Regional Council wants people to have their say.
Cr Megan Daniels said initial concept plans were ready and the consultation will guide future investment and ensure the play area meets community expectation.
‘The concept is that of a contemporary open space nature play area and quite exciting for Emerald,’ Cr Daniels said.
‘By creating an open play area with water elements, climbing structures and tree-top walk, the existing landscape and playground create a nature play experience that isn’t available in the region.
‘Council will hold an on-site consultation and sausage sizzle meet-up on Wednesday 6 March 2019 from 4.30 pm and I encourage people to come along to give feedback on the concept plans.
‘Anyone that can’t attend, can give feedback on council’s online engagement hub Have Your Say from 22 February to 25 March 2019.’
