Road and stormwater drainage works to resume at Perthville

The road and stormwater works at Perthville will resume this week after Council removed the project from the principal contractor.

The project, which commenced last year, is designed to improve road surfaces and stormwater drainage.

Mayor Graeme Hanger OAM said he felt for the residents of Perthville and that he could understand their frustration that the project had been delayed.
“Council has on numerous occasions raised displeasure over the rate of progress and the conduct of the contractor. On Friday we exercised our rights under the contract that was in place to bring the matter to a speedy resolution,” he said.

Council crews will commence works on site later this week at Perthville to continue and complete the project.
