The City of Ballarat will host a family-friendly Community Listening Post for the Miners Rest community on Tuesday 26 February, from 4-6pm.
Miners Rest is one of the municipality’s fastest growing suburbs. The area has experienced major growth as many families move to enjoy all the unique benefits of this bustling community.
With the changing face of Miners Rest, the City of Ballarat is keen to hear from all residents about the key issues in and around Miners Rest.
This community event is a chance to have a chat with City of Ballarat Councillors and senior staff, build new partnerships, and to discuss the key issues and opportunities for Miners Rest, including the Miners Rest Township Plan.
The event will feature a Pop-up Customer Service station, where residents can speak with the City of Ballarat’s friendly Customer Service Officers to obtain information, update their details and report issues or hazards within the community.
Quotes attributable to City of Ballarat Mayor Cr Samantha McIntosh:
"I encourage all Miners Rest residents to come and talk to us – tell us how your town is changing, and what we need to be aware of when it comes to steering the future of Miners Rest.
“Bring your family to the park, have a free coffee and ice-cream, experience the new playground – one of the best play spaces in the region – and come and chat with us.
“At the City of Ballarat, we are passionate about building a Miners Rest that is strong, vibrant and thriving. This is our chance to hear about what matters most to you.”
