Doc and Marty have come ‘Back to the Future’ for the free outdoor cinema screening at Peterson Reserve in Highett. The event had to be rescheduled from December 2018 due to bad weather. The new date is Friday 8 March from 7 -10 pm.
The event is hosted by Boombox Events and Bayside Council’s Youth Services. Bookings are available via Trybooking.com/BANJR.
Boombox Events is a FReeZA group who run fully supervised smoke, drug and alcohol free events in Bayside. FReeZa is a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning music and cultural events for other young people.
The Mayor, Cr Michael Heffernan said:
“The Boombox Events FReeZA Committee is to be commended on their hard work in assisting with planning and organising events such as the ‘Back to the Future’ screening.
“It’s great to be able to offer free family-friendly events for everyone to enjoy.
“Bayside Council is committed to developing and supporting activities that improve the health and wellbeing of our young people and the broader community.”
