Stand by: your new bins are on their way

We’re rolling out a new smarter, greener, safer, cleaner waste collection service.

Residents have told us they want a responsible waste service that makes a difference to the environment. Our new waste service will deliver this and keep costs down.

With smarter and safer trucks, reducing waste going to landfill and new processing we will avoid over 43,200 tonnes of CO2 annually. That’s like taking over 8,200 cars off the road!

From March, the first new bins will be delivered in preparation for the new waste service starting on 1 July 2019.

Around 330,000 new bins will be delivered to over 100,000 households over the next four months. This is the largest bin replacement program ever undertaken in Australia!

Watch out for a letter from Council with an update about when your new bins will arrive and how to ensure your old bins are 100% recycled into new ones.
