Kingston’s 2019–2020 grants program is now open, with thousands of dollars on offer to help local community groups, artists and children’s organisations build a stronger, healthier and socially connected Kingston.
Community members have until midnight on Sunday 31 March, to apply for one of three grants categories.
Mayor Cr Georgina Oxley said that having three grant categories provides applicants with more opportunities to seek out help, depending on each situation.
These categories include:
Annual Grants – up to $10,000 Not-for-profit community groups and organisations can apply for grants, for activities that contribute to the social, economic and health & wellbeing of the residents of Kingston. Information sessions: Tuesday 12 February, 1.30pm - 3pm Mordialloc Neighbourhood House, 457 Main Street, Mordialloc Wednesday 13 Feb, 6.30pm - 8pm Patterson Lakes Community Centre, 54-70 Thompsons Road, Patterson Lakes Thursday 14 February, 6pm – 7.30pm City of Kingston Offices, 1230 Nepean Highway, Cheltenham Tuesday 19 February, 11.30am – 1pm Westall Community Hub, 35 Fairbank Road, Clayton South Arts Grants – up to $5,000 Individual artists, not-for-profit art groups and organisations can apply across three categories: arts projects; community arts projects; and mentorships & residencies.Children’s Week Grants – up to $1,000
Not-for-profit community groups and organisations that plan to deliver events and one-off activities to help create opportunities for families and children to participate in Children’s Week celebrations in October are welcome to apply.
